This page will give you a glimpse into some of the best music photographers in the industry, and some awesome resources that have helped me when starting out.
Jawn Rocha
Jawn is one of my favorite photographers, and his work is what encouraged me to take the leap into music photography. His livestreams are a super helpful resource to take a look at in order to learn a bit more about editing. Also, he’s just a really cool guy in general!
Jawn always manages to amaze me with every new photo he releases. He’s super creative, and knows how to capture genuine feeling in his photos.
Ryan Watanabe
Ryan is one of my favorite photographers, and he’s also an amazing videographer. He truly knows how to capture an artist’s aesthetic in his work. You may recognize him from my blog post on gear essentials, and from his work with artists like Lights, 5 Seconds of Summer, and Chase Atlantic.
I had the pleasure of sharing a photo pit with Ryan in June, when I shot the first night of Chase Atlantic’s Phases Tour. He’s a really talented guy, and I recommend you check out his work!
Javi Perez
Javi is one of my favorite photographers right now! She’s immensely talented, and has an amazing eye for detail and creativity.
Javi’s work always amazes me. She’s able to showcase so much feeling and passion in her work, and I adore her style. She’s someone who I would love to share a photo pit one day.
Matty Vogel
Matty is an incredible photographer who has worked with artists like Billie Eilish, PVRIS, and Thirty Seconds To Mars. You might recognize him from my blog post on gear essentials, where I referenced his lens and preset recommendations.
I learned a lot about photography through Matty’s blog, as I was first starting out. It’s an awesome resource for photographers no matter how experienced they are, and I really enjoy his content.
Adam Elmakias
All the way back in middle school, I discovered Adam’s work. I remember pulling out the posters of photos he had taken for my favorite music magazines, and taping them up on my wall. Years before I even wanted to start music photography, I was fascinated by his work.
Adam’s a really awesome guy, and I think he’s the perfect example of paying it forward. Between tutorials, workshops, featuring creators in his magazine, and even just offering some kind words online, Adam is always looking out for his fellow creators.
Briar Burns
Briar’s work is absolutely mind blowing. She’s super creative, and has an eye for design that is truly amazing. There’s truly no one else like her, and I always look forward to seeing new photos from her.
Briar is another photographer that I’d be honored to be in a photo pit with. I think she’s one of the most revolutionary photographers in the scene right now. She’s a legend in my book!
